Bright is a gorgeous little town nestled in the Ovens Valley between the townships of Porepunkah and Harrietville and surrounded by the Victorian Alps.

 

The close proximity to the ski resorts Mt. Hotham, Falls Creek and Mt. Buffalo make it an ideal location to put your feet up after a day’s skiing in winter.  The vivid colours of the variety of deciduous trees provide a stunning display in the autumn months, complimented by the popular Bright Autumn Festival.  There is a variety of restaurants catering for every taste and budget, a bounty of picnics spots and parks, a new boutique cinema, a new kiddie’s water park to compliment the river and its water slide and plenty of lovely cafes and pubs to just sit outside and while the day away.

 

In the surrounding areas, there are vineyards, bike trails, mountain hikes and fishing spots in abundance.
